Description:
The intended purpose of the Certificate IV in TESOL is to provide participants with specific skills to deliver culturally appropriate English as a second language (ESL) or English as a foreign language (EFL) language lessons. These skills may be used within Australia and by persons going overseas.
The course equips participants with the skills to deliver culturally appropriate communicative classes in formal and informal settings. It provides participants with the skills to teach interactive ESL/EFL lessons, incorporating the macro skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as skills in teaching grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. This holistic approach provides industry workers and volunteers with the skills needed to assist non-native English speakers in achieving English language skills.
