Description:
This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge, and skills to perform the following functions associated with a Specialist Pilates Movement Therapy practitioner specific within the allied health and complementary health sector:

• Specialist Pilates Movement Therapy practitioners/instructors practicing at the this level provide individual instruction to clients diagnosed with chronic and complex conditions, performing artists and professional athletes requiring injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance enhancement

• The Specialist Pilates practitioner/instructor works independently as an allied health professional and requires the ability to work with clients whose requirements are individual and unique.

• They work autonomously and require a broad and deep knowledge of the advanced Pilates exercise repertoire as well as anatomy and physiology.

They are employed as:
Specialist Pilates practitioners/instructors within Pilates studios
Specialist Pilates practitioners/instructors within other organisations such as allied health clinics
Self-employed with their own Pilates Movement Therapy studio.
