Description:

General education outcomes
This course intends to provide participants with the following general education outcomes:
• Access to university undergraduate programs
• Access to further tertiary education studies at Diploma / Advanced Diploma levels at a university or a VET system Registered Training Organisation
• Selected vocational skills that complement and are relevant to academic / pre-university knowledge and skills gained from the elective streams / disciplines


In addition, the course provides graduates with the option to enter career entry level positions commensurate with their Elective stream choice - through provision of a range of knowledge and skills to perform entry level functions associated with:

Science industry positions:
• Laboratory assistant across a range of scientific disciplines
• Research assistant




Business positions:
• Bookkeeper - financial record keeping; financial reporting; computer accounting
• Manager’s personal assistant / administrative assistant
• Economic research assistant

Information Technology positions:
• Web / networking administration assistant
• ICT support assistant including database programming in a non-programming specific business environment
• Assistant ICT help desk officer

Architecture:
• Architectural model maker assistant
