Description:

This course is intended to provide the training needs of underground coal mine inertisation team personnel, and includes a range of knowledge and skills to perform the following functions associated with underground coal mine inertisation device operations in a mine emergency situation.
• Work within an inertisation team environment
• Respond to an incident requiring inertisation at an underground mine as a member of an inertisation team
• Operate an open circuit compressed air breathing apparatus safely and efficiently in inertisation operation emergency response and rescue activities
• Control and extinguish fires in an inertisation operation environment
• Conduct water supply, fuel supply and engine attendant operations on an underground coal mine inertisation device
• Conduct inertisation device control panel operations on an underground coal mine inertisation device
