Description:

This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge, and skills to perform the following functions associated with Advanced Behaviour Practitioner
• Conduct functional analyses of problematic behaviours
• Ensure that appropriate reinforcement principles are adhered to within the context of positive behaviour support
• Conduct functional analyses on already identified functional behaviour hypotheses
• Identify appropriate skills to teach an individual client based on their individual need
• Develop a positive behaviour support plan
• Develop appropriate reinforcement strategies that adhere to the principles of positive behaviour support
• Develop an implementation plan
• Develop a plan to monitor and evaluate the behaviour change plan
• Develop a plan to monitor the use of restrictive practices
• Coach positive behaviour support at an organisational level to ensure that operational changes will translate theory to practice
