Description:
This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge, and skills to perform the following functions associated with the role of an actor:
• communicate a character and/or situation to an audience through speech, body language and movement
• interpret work of a writer under instruction and supervision of a director
• devise a character
• improvise the reactions of a character to a situation
• prepare for and attend auditions
• research and undertake activities to prepare for a part
• discuss interpretation and delivery with other members of the company and director
• perform for a live audience
• perform in a studio or 'on location' for film, television, internet and radio broadcasts
• do voice overs for advertisements and recording audio books.
