This skill set covers skills, knowledge and work performance requirements to allow qualified electricians to plan electrical installations with a low voltage demand up to 400 A per phase, install explosion-protected equipment and wiring systems, maintain equipment in hazardous areas, develop and manage maintenance programs for hazardous area electrical equipment, report on the integrity of explosion-protected equipment in a hazardous area, plan electrical installations in hazardous areas and manage compliance of hazardous areas in the coal mining industry.
