Cane is sanded to remove exterior blemishes, flaws or faults |

Cane is prepared by straightening, where required, and marked for bending |

Cane is heated in steam ovens or kilns in accordance with design/pattern bending requirements |

Cane is bent in accordance with design/pattern requirements |

Product is checked against plans at identified checkpoints to ensure compliance with specifications |

Non-conformity with the required quality standards is rectified |

Finalise operation and maintain equipment |

Work area is cleaned, hand and/or power tools and equipment are cleaned, maintained and stored in accordance with workplace procedures |
