Skill Set Description

This skill set provides a set of skills for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Workers to support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander men to maintain their health and social and emotional wellbeing; and develop lifelong strategies for positive engagement with family and community.

HLTAHW031 Provide information/strategies to enhance capacities of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander families

These units may provide credit towards Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care qualifications higher than the Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care

No licensing, legislative or certificate requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Skill Set Requirements

This skill set has been endorsed by industry for workers who hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or commensurate industry skills as evaluated through recognition of prior learning processes.

Target Group

This skill set is intended for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Workers to support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander men to maintain their health and social and emotional wellbeing; and develop lifelong strategies for positive engagement with family and community.

Application of this skill set is only appropriate under the supervision of a relevant health professional and as a member of a health care team.
