These units may provide credit towards Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care qualifications higher than the Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.

Skill Set Requirements

Target Group

This skill set has been endorsed by industry for workers who hold a qualification at Certificate IV level or higher in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or commensurate industry skills as evaluated through recognition of prior learning processes.

Application of this skill set is only appropriate under the supervision of a relevant health professional and as a member of a health care team.

This skill set provides a pathway for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers to specialise in the provision of primary health care, and strategies and information to support sexual health for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients and communities

This skill set meets industry requirements as specified in the HLT07 Health Training Package for supervisor and promotional educator for sexual health within Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.
