Qualification Description

This qualification reflects the role of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people working to provide a range of non-clinical primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients and communities, including specific health care programs. These workers can be expected to flexibly assume a variety of job roles and undertake a broad range of tasks either individually or as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication

Packaging Rules

Total number of units = 21, including:

  • 14 core units
  • 7 elective units, of which:
  • at least 4 units must come from the elective list below
  • up to 3 units may be selected from any endorsed Training Packages or accredited courses relevant to the work outcome.

All electives chosen must contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
