1. Prepare for repair |
1.1. Applicable Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), environmental , legislative and organisational requirements relevant to repairing veneer and ply are identified and followed 1.2. Work order is reviewed and checked with appropriate personnel 1.3. Type and quantity of material to be repaired is acquired from the veneer or plywood production process 1.4. Filler is selected appropriate to work requirements and checked for effectiveness in line with manufacturer's recommendations 1.5. Repair process is selected in line with site procedures 1.6. Communication with others is established and maintained in line with OHS requirements |
2. Fill material |
2.1. Filler is mixed following manufacturer's instructions or pre-mixed filler is obtained in required quantity |
2.2. Veneer , panel or plywood condition is inspected and marked in readiness for filling 2.3. Filler is applied to voids and allowed to dry in readiness for sanding 2.4. Mending tape is applied to splits to retain the integrity of the veneer 2.5. Repairs are recorded and reported to appropriate personnel |

3. Redistribute material |
3.1. Veneer, panel and plywood are regraded in line with site requirements and industry standards 3.2. Material is directed and moved to storage or processing operations in line with site requirements 3.3. Sub-standard material is rejected and disposed of in line with site procedures and environmental requirements 3.4. Work area is cleaned in line with site requirements |
