Qualification Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals developing basic technical skills and knowledge to prepare for work in the live performance industry.
The job roles that relate to this qualification may include trainee Indigenous dancer, trainee contemporary dancer or trainee musical theatre dancer.

Total number of units = 10
6 core units plus
4 elective units , of which:
- at least 1 must be from Group A
- of the remaining elective units:
- all may be from Group A and/or Group B
- 1 may be from this or any other currently endorsed Certificate I or above training package qualification or accredited course.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid industry-supported vocational outcome.
