Description
This qualification allows learners to develop basic skills and knowledge to prepare for work in the live performance industry. The range of dance techniques associated with this qualification is limited.

Evidence of some dance skills may be reflected in grades achieved in different dance styles through dance societies that run examinations linked to certification levels. It is recommended that registered training organisations (RTOs) liaise with relevant dance societies to determine certification level equivalence.

The elective units consist of:
- 1 unit from Group A
- of the remaining units:
- up to 2 may be from Group A and/or B
- 1 may be from a Certificate I in any endorsed Training Package or accredited course
- 1 may be from a Certificate I or II in any endorsed Training Package.
The elective units chosen must be relevant to the work outcome and meet local industry needs.
