Vocational outcomes
This course is intended to provide learners with a range of knowledge and skills to perform the following functions as an Azimuth Drive Tug (ASD) Master:
• Pre -operational checks of an ASD tug boat
• Handle an ASD tugboat safely using basic manoeuvres
• Manoeuvre an ASD tugboat near obstacles
• Conduct ASD tugboat manoeuvres whilst underway
• Conduct securing and detaching procedures
• Conduct emergency drills.
• ASD tug active escort and dynamic assist manoeuvres
• ASD tug passive escort manoeuvres
• ASD tug harbour towage ship assist manoeuvres
