Description:
The vocational outcome of this qualification is an elite athlete wellbeing specialist, responsible for supporting the whole person wellbeing of elite and/or professional athletes, coaches and officials.

Likely functions for people with this qualification include:
• working collaboratively with athletes, coaches, officials and support personnel to enable elite athletes, coaches and officials to reach and maintain their ‘whole person’ potential,
• developing and maintaining an elite athlete wellbeing plan according to individual and organisational requirements, policies and procedures
• applying specialized use of relevant wellbeing strategies, tools and practices based on key theories of Positive Psychology, Self Determination Theory, Goal Setting and Wellbeing.
• working with other elite sport personnel to ensure an integrated model of delivery of services to athlete, coaches and officials where there is a delineation between wellbeing and performance activities.
