Description:
The course is designed as an entry level pathway into full time performing arts vocational training for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander school leavers and young people, and as an articulation pathway for students with prior training to the Certificate IV level in Performing Arts. The representation and employment opportunities for Indigenous artists continue to grow in the live performance and film and television industries. Equally, community events and organisations continue to increase in awareness and value of Indigenous culture as being at the heart of national culture.

The Diploma is a culturally sensitive, broad based performing arts program. It includes core subjects that apply across the three mediums of dance, music and acting, as well as elective strategies allowing students to specialise in their medium of choice (Dance, Acting or Music) at the Diploma level.
