Description:
The purpose of this course is for participants to learn the Gumbaynggirr language and understand Gumbaynggirr culture, to enable further study towards a vocational or community-building outcome whereby they educate others with the language and culture elements acquired. It will give participants a foundation in language, culture, linguistics and teaching methodology.

Gumbaynggirr people who work in pre-schools, schools, TAFEs and Aboriginal Language centres will particularly benefit from this course; those who work in associated industries such as the arts, tourism and Indigenous small businesses will also benefit from an increased knowledge in language and culture.
